Yeah I finished some Christmas Ornaments!

Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming..... I loved stitching and putting together these ornaments. The first one was a gift for a Christmas Exchange and the other 2 I haven't decided if I am keeping or gifting. Hoping to get a few more done before Christmas but have so many things to get done meeting that goal is up in the air!

2 more of my Halloween Finishes

The last of my Halloween stitching. Top design is by Pine Mountain and the bottom was a freebie of the internet. Both were fun stitches. I need to think of a creative way to finish them. I'm not into banners or framing everything so we shall see. ....hopefully by next year so they aren't sitting in a rubbermaid tub with the other 100 finishes I have in there!

Halloween Finishes #1

I figured i should probably start posting my Halloween and Fall stitching finishes before I start posting my Christmas Stitching. Here are 3 finishes in 3 days. The first and the third designs are freebies of the internet and the middle is Prairie Schooler. I love stitching for Halloween!

My 2 Works in Progress

To go along with remodeling the house I have thrown in some crafts to do in my down time. I'm currently working on this tinkerbell paperbag album. I am loving the way the flower turned out after all the work I put into it. It was easier than I thought. And I'm working on a halloween cross stitch freebie that I don't have a picture of because I just started it. There will be more to come though!

I'm feeling tropical in these 100 degree temps!

Today I just had to get some stitching done. I was digging through my stash and came across this mini Bucilla kit I picked up at Michaels forever ago. Started stitching and couldn't put it down. And I was still able to get some cleaning done before picking the kids up from school.

Instead of using the plastic frame that came with it I found this tuck ornament I bought of ebay to stuff it in. To me they seemed destined for one another :0)

Vacation Stitching Part 2

Two more of my vacation stitching finishes. These were fun to stitch. Top one is a freebie from Lizzie Kate called Hello Spring. Bottom one is a Zipper Kit by Bent Creek called Summer. I didn't add the buttons when I took the picture.

Vacation Stitching Part 1

While I was in the mountains with no cell reception or internet service (I knew in advance) I had packed a bag of kitted projects to get some stitching done. I didn't want to being 1 big thing to stitch so I brought a bunch of little things that I could get finished up easily.

The top is a Lizzie Kate Freebie called Liberty. The bottom is from a Bent Creek leaflet titled Cold Snowman.

Wishing and Needing Fall-A Finish

So happy to get some stitching done. I was tired of looking at my stash and wondering why it seemed to be growing. It has been over 100 degrees here and the result has been some not so nice sun burns. I am waiting for fall to get here to sunny central FL so that it will maybe be in the 90's instead :0) This is Lizzie Kate's In All Things Give Thanks. Fun and fast stitching on 28ct evenweave using DMC threads.

Whoo Whoooo...I am so loving my owls

Yet another thing I am loving right now is cutey owls. I liked this pattern so much I stitched it twice. I an thinking of stitching it again in bright colors to make some cards for next spring. I left the border off the second on because I didn't have a lot of fabric and wanted to see it without it. Freebie design from the net. I think I have the site info somewhere so will post when I find it to give credit!

Prairie Schooler Pumpkin Ornament

I'm think I am going to make an Autumn/Fall tree because I just want to keep stitching these and making them into ornaments. I keep saying I will do a Halloween one but never get around to stitching them. So for now I will settle for the the season.

CHS-Quaker House Samplers

Yes Yes another quaker design...but this one has a house so I'm not entirely insane with quakers. I liked the colors because they were different from the other quakers I do. It's nice to clear out projects in my stash that have been in my todo pile. Out of 10 I have finished 5 in a little over a week. More room to go stash shopping now lol.

Prairie Schooler Ornament

I love Prairie Schooler. I never get tired of stitching them. They stitch up so nice and not that I mind backstitching but it is nice not to have any in these designs. I added a leaf button and light green ribbon that says Autumn on it in a darker green. Oh how I wish fall was here so I wouldn't have to be out in this almost 100 degree weather.....

Quaker Alphabet Sampler

This was a fun stitch. I couldn't believe it was done in 3 days of stitching. From Carriage House Samplings. The colors match my couches and curtains so I might actually frame and hang this one. Stitched on 28ct evenweave using DMC threads.

A Small Quaker Finish

Another fun quaker stitch. I think I will make this one into an ornament like the others, or maybe a scissor fob. I used DMC Variations to make this freebie from My Aunts Attic blog.

OMG could it possibly be another monochome..

Hey at least one has 4 colors of the DMC Variations (are we seeing a pattern here) Another Freebie design that I just had to stitch. Started and finished in one day. I love how these flow so easily and turn out so good.

Wow!! Whats this? Another Monochrome...

This is the second piece I have started and finished in one day. I started and finished it today. Again using the DMC Variations. Freebie design is from My Aunts Attic. Thinking this would also look nice finished sideways as an ornament hmm.

Another Monochome Cross Stitch Finish

I'm on a little bit of a one color kick right now. I used DMC variations and really like working with them. It is a freebie from My Aunts Attic. I think I will turn it sideways and finish it into an ornament.
